John R. Smith Screenwriter

Johnny Smith is a live action and animation screenwriter and script consultant. His range of work includes film, TV and books.

With my former writing partner, Rob Sprackling, I created the Disney movie Gnomeo & Juliet and the British hit comedy Mike Bassett: England Manager. I have written lots of shows for TV including Dennis and Gnasher, Muddle Earth and Danger Mouse. My children's books ‘John Smith is Not Boring’ are published by Scholastic.

I live in London with my ever-patient wife, Lottie and daughters, Daisy and Flo.
